Lost Your Only Car Key? We Make a New One Where You Are
Losing the only key to your car used to mean a tow to the dealership and days of waiting. YH Lock & Security does car key replacement in Las Vegas on site: our mobile van comes to your car, cuts a new key and programs it to the vehicle, even when there’s no original to copy.
We work on most makes and models, including Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Jeep and many European brands. Transponder keys, laser-cut (high-security) keys, remote head keys, flip keys and proximity smart keys are all part of the job.

Most cars built after the late 1990s use a transponder chip that has to be programmed to the car’s immobilizer. A key that only fits the door won’t start the engine. Our vans carry key cutting machines and programming equipment, so the new key is cut to your lock and paired with the car before we leave.
For push-to-start vehicles we program a new proximity fob. If you still have one working key, a spare car key or fob is quicker and costs less than replacing a key you’ve already lost.
Key replacement also covers keys that still exist but no longer work: a remote that stopped responding after a battery change, a chip key the car suddenly won’t recognize, or a laser-cut blade worn so badly it slips in the ignition. In many of these cases we can reprogram or recut instead of replacing everything.
If you bought a blank key or fob online, we can tell you whether it’s compatible with your vehicle before we cut or program it.

What to Have Ready
What We Need From You
The year, make and model of the vehicle, its location, and proof of ownership (registration or title with your ID). If you have the VIN handy, it speeds things up.
- Transponder chip keys
- Laser-cut and high-security keys
- Remote head and flip keys
- Push-to-start smart keys and fobs
- Keys made with no original
- Programming for keys bought online (when compatible)
Locksmith vs. Dealership for Car Keys
A dealership usually needs the car towed in and may order the key. A mobile locksmith comes to the car, which is often the only practical option when the key is lost. For most models we can finish the job in one visit. If your ignition is worn or the key turns but the car won’t start, our ignition repair service can help.
Locked out as well? We handle the car lockout and the new key in the same visit. Call (702) 840-1465.
Car key replacement in Las Vegas is common after a night out, a trip to the lake or a lost bag at the airport. Wherever the car is parked, whether at a casino garage, a hotel lot or your driveway, our van comes to it so you don’t have to arrange a tow.
