Master Key Systems in Las Vegas

One Key for You, the Right Key for Everyone Else
A master key system lets one key open every door while each employee, tenant or contractor carries a key that opens only what they need. It replaces the overflowing key ring and makes it obvious who can open what.
YH Lock & Security designs, installs and maintains master key systems for offices, retail stores, apartment complexes, HOAs, schools and warehouses in Las Vegas.

Each lock cylinder is pinned to accept two or more keys: its own change key and one or more master keys. A typical setup has a grand master for the owner, department or floor masters for managers, and individual keys for each office or unit.
We start by mapping your doors and who needs access, then build a key chart that leaves room to grow. Every cylinder is pinned to the chart and every key is stamped so the system stays organized.
A common example: an office building where the owner’s grand master opens everything, each floor manager’s master opens their floor, cleaning staff have a key to common areas, and each tenant has a key to their own suite. Nobody needs more than one key, and nobody gets access they shouldn’t have.
Apartment complexes use similar systems, with a master for maintenance and individual keys for each unit.

Key Control
Keeping the System Secure
Restricted keyways prevent copies at a hardware store. We keep the key chart for your system, so new keys and cylinders match it without guesswork.

- Key charts and stamped keys
- Restricted and high-security keyways
- Rekeying when staff change
- Adding doors to an existing system
- Commercial lock installation
When You Need a Master Key System
If you carry more than a handful of keys for one building, or rekey every time someone leaves, a master system pays for itself in convenience. For smaller changes, rekeying might be enough. Managing several properties? See corporate accounts and commercial locks.

Systems built years ago often have problems: too many levels, keys copied without control, or cylinders that no longer match the chart. We can audit an existing system, rekey the parts that are compromised and bring the records up to date, instead of replacing every lock in the building.

Questions About Master Key Systems
It opens every lock built into its system. It won’t open locks outside the system.
Often yes, by repinning compatible cylinders. Some older or mixed hardware needs new cylinders first.
We rekey only the affected cylinders to a new change key, without redoing the whole system.
Not when designed properly with a restricted keyway and good key control. We plan the system to keep that balance.
